We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machinery Mechanic to join our team. As a Machinery Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of various types of machinery and equipment. This is a crucial role within our organization as it ensures that our machinery operates efficiently and minimizes downtime.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment, including inspecting, cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting parts
  • Conduct diagnostic tests on malfunctioning machinery to identify the root cause of the problem
  • Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
  • Follow maintenance schedules and keep accurate records of performed tasks and repairs
  • Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot and resolve complex machinery issues
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
  • Keep abreast of new technologies and industry trends related to machinery maintenance

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a Machinery Mechanic or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy machinery and equipment
  • Availability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency repairs if needed
