Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Maintenance
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, or operational issues.
- Ensure all equipment operates efficiently and complies with safety standards.
- Preventive Maintenance
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize unexpected breakdowns.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify potential areas of failure.
- Keep records of maintenance activities and equipment history.
- Repairs and Troubleshooting
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and restore operations in a timely manner.
- Repair or replace defective parts and components.
- Collaborate with other departments to address equipment-related issues.
- System Upgrades and Improvements
- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and reliability of equipment and systems.
- Recommend and implement upgrades or modifications to machinery.
- Support new equipment installations and testing.
- Safety and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address potential hazards.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Prepare detailed reports on equipment performance and downtime.
- Communicate maintenance updates to management and relevant teams.
- Education:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in maintenance engineering or a similar role.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems (CMMS) and diagnostic tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Work may involve manufacturing plants, industrial facilities, or building systems.
- Requires physical activity, such as standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects.
- May involve working shifts, including weekends, nights, or on-call hours, depending on operational needs.
- Certification in maintenance engineering or related fields (e.g., Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP)) is an advantage.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
