Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Core Responsibilities:

  • Assure the efficiency and effectiveness of Crisis and Emergency Plans, Business Continuity Plans and all related plan readiness, including Emergency Response Plans (ERPs).
  • Monitor the process of designing, implementing, communicating and coordinating all Crisis and Emergency Management programs in all AD Ports Group sites.
  • Drive Business Continuity Plans and Recovery Procedures Per Related Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Maximum Acceptable Outage (MAO) in collaboration with Corporate Business Continuity Manager and Process Owners.
  • Manage Crisis and Emergency Management surveillance and inspections.
  • Enforce the effectiveness of Crisis and Emergency Management systems and departmental disaster & recovery plans, and provide feedback/ recommendations for management review.
  • Supervise the analysis of crisis events, business disruption and business recovery information and advice Aby Dhabi Ports Group Management with tendencies that could affect the business objectives of the Company.
  • Provide regular written reports and other production-related results and updates to the Abu Dhabi Ports Group Crisis Management Team (CMT).
  • Command emergencies by Crisis Management Team (CMT) to define the incident goals and operational period objectives; enable channels for incident commanding, safety measures implementation, public information management, relationship management, and advisory management.
  • Verify and monitor the effectiveness of implemented mitigations and measures identified through risk assessment and audits.

People Management Responsibilities:

  • Lead continuous performance improvement in Crisis and Emergency Management.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of team members. This may involve setting performance metrics, conducting regular performance reviews, and providing feedback and coaching to help individuals improve their performance.
  • Manage staffing levels, assigning tasks, and ensuring team members have the necessary tools and support to fulfil their responsibilities during a crisis.
  • Work closely with Human Capital/ Risk & BCM/ HSSE, Finance, Procurement, Digital Technical Services, Engineering & Technical Services, and Operational Divisions to develop and manage short- and long-term Crisis and Emergency Management Training Programs.

Strategic Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with all levels of management in determining, planning and prioritizing the actions required in attaining and maintaining Crisis and Emergency Management Policy, Objectives and Targets.
  • Manage Crisis and Emergency Management strategic planning and business scope and framework, developing predefined emergency contingencies plans and managing all related rescue services readiness (manning, training and exercises).
  • Build the capacity and awareness for AD Ports Group Corporate Units, Clusters including Subsidiaries Representative
  • Integrate Crisis and Emergency Management to operation standard operation procedures and disaster plans and assist Crisis Management Team (CMT) in creating a strong positive, safe, and efficient culture.
  • Participate in the development of annual budget recommendations and implementation.

Qualifications

Educational and Technical Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Crisis Management, Fire Prevention, Business Continuity or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
