Job Description

Act as the main intermediary between the Corporate Marketing team and the Business Unit/Cluster to develop and implement public relation and marketing strategies, programs and campaigns. Build strong relationship with key media representatives aiming to boost the company’s branding.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities:

  • Act as the focal point between the Corporate Marketing Department and the Business Unit/Cluster to manage marketing and public relation activities.
  • Lead marketing campaigns in the Business Unit/Cluster from initial till execution aiming to achieve AD Ports Group and the Business Unit/Cluster's objectives.
  • Advise on best media outlet for different target audiences and key messages.
  • Manage an editorial timeline for the Business Unit/Cluster, ensuring adequate planning to support activity where appropriate in coordination with other Business Unit/Cluster’s timelines.
  • Manage Business Unit/Cluster's marketing content and use a variety of channels to attract customers.
  • Manage the approvals process between the PR/Corporate team, VP Marketing and the Business Unit/Cluster contacts.
  • Evaluate and approve media materials (software and hardware) ensuring to be aligned with brand identity.
  • Benchmark best practices and suggest opportunities to place stories about the business relevant to the key media and audiences.
  • Manage and report the performance of the Business Unit/Cluster's marketing activities and campaigns, analyze bottlenecks resolve issues and prepare recommendation plans.
  • Monitor customer’s engagement and insights, and enforce answering queries in a timely and efficient manner.

People Management Responsibilities:

  • Train the team on the development of media monitoring system with continuous update.
  • Coordinate and align with other divisions/ business units on activities.
  • Provide strong and visionary leadership, supervision, and guidance to the team, setting clear expectations and creating a culture of accountability.
  • Ensure that the team has access to the necessary resources, including budget and technology, to support their projects.
  • Promote diversity and inclusion within the team to harness a broader range of perspectives and ideas.

Strategic Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to develop marketing tools, plans, strategies and tactics to boost the company’s reputation and maintain consistent branding.
  • Build knowledge and be alert to opportunities, while being mindful of resources available to deliver materials and current priorities for the team.
  • Manage the marketing budget and report discrepancies for management decision.
  • Build productive relationships with internal and external customers such as employees, agencies and vendors.
  • Research briefs for stories and be alert to potential news opportunities.
  • Advise on media, and promote professional high standards of PR and communication.

Qualifications

Educational and Technical Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field. Master's degree is a plus

Language Skills:

  • Fluent in both Arabic and English.

Years of Experience:

  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a similar role

Nature of Experience:

  • PR Experience in a business-to-business environment and continuously updated with industry news would be preferred.
  • Work experience in a range of different settings – majority to be media relations focused.
  • Good familiarity with UAE & International Media
  • Commercial & cultural awareness
  • Experience in Media interactions
  • Experience with web analytics tools.
  • Track record for designing creative strategies and delivering significant impact.
