Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend business requirements, translating them into detailed technical solutions and designs.
• Lead and actively participate in the development of software applications, ensuring code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and identify areas for improvement.
• Define and advance the architecture of software solutions, making decisions on technology stack, frameworks, and design patterns.
• Investigate and resolve intricate technical issues, providing expertise to address production problems effectively.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, encompassing system architecture diagrams, API documentation, and coding standards.
  
  

People Management Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and prioritize tasks within the development team, ensuring project progress and meeting deadlines.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, quality assurance, and infrastructure teams, to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
• Mentor and coach team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
  
  

Strategic Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic technical leadership to the development team, setting best practices, coding standards, and guiding architectural decisions.
• Lead the research and analysis of market trends, technological advancements, and customer needs to ensure the product remains relevant and competitive in the future.
• Assess risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize potential liabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Marketing, Engineering or related field; Master's degree is a plus.
• Excellent English. Arabic is an added advantage
• A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a similar role
• Preferred experience in Ports and Logistics, UAE Govt. Sector in leadership/Managerial Role.
• Extensive hands-on experience in software development, showcasing proficiency in multiple programming languages, frameworks, and methodologies.
• Proven leadership skills with a successful track record of managing and leading software development teams.
• Architectural expertise, including the ability to make informed decisions on technology stack, frameworks, and design patterns.
• Strong project management skills, understanding project principles, and effectively coordinating tasks for timely delivery.
• In-depth knowledge of quality assurance processes, conducting thorough code reviews, and ensuring code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, fostering effective collaboration with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Experience mentoring and coaching team members to encourage their professional growth and create a collaborative and innovative team culture.
• Commitment to continuous learning, staying informed about industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Willingness to adapt and learn new technologies as needed for the role.
