Manager - Security Operations in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Responsibilities:
- Manage and troubleshoot firewalls, load balancers, WAF, VPN, Proxy, NAC, email security, Azure security, Endpoints EDR/XDR Solutions, DLP, SASE, and PAM.
- Demonstrate good knowledge of protocols such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPLS, VRF, SDWAN, and other networking protocols.
- Understand advanced technologies such as security encryption, QoS/Traffic shaping, policy-based routing, 802.1x, Radius, Multi-Factor Authentication, and security devices with built-in WAN acceleration/caching capabilities.
- Apply industry best practices in network security technologies, working with solutions from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Palo Alto, FortiGate, F5, Citrix, Proofpoint, and Forescout.
- Understand networking concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, VPNs, VLANs, peering, and load balancing.
- Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
- Install and configure servers, firewalls UTM, and other firewalls.
- Troubleshoot network, firewall, and server issues.
- Define, apply, and update access control, data protection, and threat prevention policies across all systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP Security, CCNA Security, or equivalent qualifications in security technologies are preferred.
- CCIE Security certification is preferred.
- 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience supporting network security technologies, with a strong focus on Juniper SRX, FortiGate, Palo Alto firewalls, F5, and Citrix NetScaler.
- Experience managing NAC solutions like Forescout and Cisco ISE.
- Experience with email security solutions including Cisco ESA, Proofpoint, and Microsoft Defender for Exchange.
- Experience with web security solutions such as Forcepoint and Cisco WSA.
- VMware NSX or equivalent security-focused virtual networking knowledge.
- Proven experience in public cloud security (Azure, AWS, etc.) is an added advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
- Expert knowledge of network security concepts across a range of platforms and technologies, including firewalls, IPS, WAFs, VPNs, load balancers, SSL inspection, malware protection, DNS security, APT protection, sandboxing, email/web security, PAM, MFA, vulnerability management, and NAC.
- Deep understanding of security solutions in virtualized and cloud environments.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, and PKI infrastructure.
