Job Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and dynamic Social Media and Internal Communications Manager to oversee and execute a comprehensive social media, digital communications, and internal communications strategy. This role will manage the full spectrum of our social media and digital channels, along with developing and executing internal communication initiatives that enhance employee engagement, corporate culture, and information flow across the organization. The ideal candidate must have exceptional copywriting capabilities, be creative, detail-oriented, and capable of managing both external and internal communications with a focus on delivering high-quality, engaging content. Fluency in Arabic is an added advantage, though not required.
Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Content Planning:
Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with our brand’s goals and enhances engagement across platforms.
Create and manage content calendars to ensure timely, relevant, and engaging posts.
Content Creation & Copywriting
Write captivating and on-brand captions, headlines, and copy for all social media, internal and digital channels. Ensure the tone and voice are appropriate across all platforms.
Creative Briefs & Collaboration
Brief and collaborate with designers, videographers, and agencies to produce high-quality visuals, graphics, and videos for social media content. Ensure all creative assets align with the brand and messaging.
Live Content & Story Capturing
Take charge of capturing live content during events, product launches, webinars, and more. Produce real-time stories and posts to engage our audience.
Community Engagement
Monitor and manage social media interactions, respond to comments and direct messages, and foster a positive online community. Engage with followers and respond promptly to inquiries or feedback.
Agency & Team Management
Coordinate with external agencies and internal teams to ensure consistent and efficient execution of social media campaigns. Manage workflows, approvals, and timelines.
Trends & Tools Management
Stay up-to-date with social media trends, emerging platforms, and tools. Apply these insights to optimize content strategies and engagement techniques.
Analytics & Reporting
Track key performance metrics, social media channel and EDM analytics to measure the success of campaigns. Provide regular reports and insights to stakeholders on content performance and audience engagement.
Internal Communications
Develop and implement an internal communication strategy to keep employees informed, motivated, and aligned with company goals and initiatives.
Create and distribute internal newsletters, emails, and announcements to keep employees engaged and informed about important company updates, events, and initiatives.
Collaborate with HR and leadership teams to communicate key internal messages, including corporate news, employee achievements, and organizational changes.
Ensure consistency in messaging between internal and external communications, maintaining alignment with the company’s values and brand voice.
Organize and support internal events, including town halls, webinars, and team-building activities, to foster a positive company culture and employee engagement.
Manage and monitor internal communication channels to encourage two-way communication and employee interaction.
Brief and collaborate with designers, videographers, and agencies to produce high-quality visuals, graphics, and videos for social media content. Ensure all creative assets align with the brand and messaging.
Qualifications
Experience: Proven experience as a Digital Media Manager, Social Media Manager, or similar role, with at least 5-7 years of hands-on experience managing social media and internal communications for major brands.
Copywriting Skills: Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to produce compelling content that drives engagement and aligns with brand voice.
Sector Knowledge: Familiarity with the technology sector and its nuances, especially in how tech-related content resonates on social media platforms.
Languages: Fluency in Arabic is preferred but not required. Candidates who can write in both English and Arabic will have a distinct advantage. Excellent English copywriting and long-form writing capabilities is a mandatory requirement
Social Media Expertise: Deep understanding of social media channels (LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.), trends, and best practices. Experience across the full spectrum of digital platforms is an advantage.
Internal Communication Experience: Experience in internal communications, including developing content for employee newsletters, emails, and intranet platforms.
Tools & Platforms: Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Brandwatch, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer), content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite), and internal communication platforms (e.g., EDMs, Slack, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint).
Creative & Analytical: Strong creative abilities paired with a data-driven mindset. Capable of interpreting social media metrics and adjusting strategies accordingly.
Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including collaboration with internal teams and external partners, while meeting deadlines.
Live Content Experience: Comfortable with capturing live content, whether through video, stories, or other formats, at events or on-the-go.
