Job Description

What do we expect from you?

Mondrian Abu Dhabi is set to be the next iconic destination, and we are looking for an innovative and technically proficient Manager of Technology to join our team. In this role, you will manage the day-to-day technology operations and systems within the property, ensuring the integration of key systems and providing support across all areas of the hotel. Your contribution will help maintain a seamless technological environment that supports operational efficiency and enhances the guest experience.

How Your Day Looks Like

  • Oversee the day-to-day technology operations, ensuring that all systems are functioning effectively.
  • Support the pre-opening phase by assisting in the setup, integration, and testing of all systems, including property management, reservation, and point-of-sale technologies.
  • Provide technical support to all departments, ensuring the smooth operation of technology systems across the property.
  • Monitor and resolve any technology-related issues, providing timely solutions to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  • Assist in managing the hotel’s technology budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining the highest technological standards.
  • Work closely with the senior leadership to align technological needs with the property’s goals and objectives.
  • Provide training and guidance to the technology team, ensuring everyone is up-to-date with the latest systems and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that technology solutions meet operational needs and improve overall guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of digital systems, implementing necessary cybersecurity measures to protect both the hotel and guest data.

This role requires a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technology teams and other hotel departments. As the Manager of Technology, you will be a key player in ensuring that Mondrian Abu Dhabi operates with state-of-the-art technology that supports the long-term success and guest experience of the property.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Technology management, with at least 3 years in a Manger-level role, ideally in a luxury or lifestyle hotel environment.
  • Experience working in a truly global work environment is essential.
  • Proven pre-opening experience with a strong track record of financial leadership and operational excellence.
  • Proven experience with technology integration and infrastructure setup, particularly during pre-opening phases.
  • Expertise in property management systems, reservation software, and hotel-specific technologies (e.g., OPERA, HMS, CRS).
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity protocols, IT systems management, and infrastructure.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to think creatively and respond to technology challenges swiftly.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, vendors, and external partners.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, balancing technological advancements with operational needs.
