As a Managing Director – Development, you play a critical role in supporting the growth and expansion of our portfolio. Your responsibilities include identifying strategic development opportunities, cultivating partnerships, and ensuring the successful execution of new projects. With a focus on market analysis, feasibility assessments, and stakeholder engagement, you contribute significantly to shaping the company's footprint and long-term success in the region.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate strategic development opportunities aligned with organizational goals.
  • Conduct market analyses and feasibility studies to assess the viability of potential projects.
  • Build and maintain relationships with property owners, developers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Negotiate and secure agreements for new property developments, management contracts, and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to facilitate project execution.
  • Assist in establishing and leading a development team across the regions, ensuring growth initiatives are well-coordinated and budget aligned.
  • Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to inform development strategies.
  • Support the due diligence process for potential development projects, ensuring comprehensive assessments.
  • Assist in the creation of a growth budget and contribute to the development of a five-year strategic development plan.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the Vice President – Development / Chairman on the progress and status of development initiatives.
  • Oversee the successful launch and opening of new properties within the region.
  • Manage and optimize the development budget, ensuring cost-effective and strategic resource allocation.
  • Stay informed about regulatory requirements and other factors impacting development.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented culture within the development team.
  • Represent the organization in development-related matters, both internally and externally.
  • Assist in negotiations with property owners and developers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Provide guidance and support to property owners and developers throughout the development process.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and contractual obligations related to development agreements.
  • Champion a customer-centric approach, ensuring new developments align with guest expectations and market demands.
  • Adhere to the company’s environmental, health, and safety procedures and policies.
