Job Purpose

As Managing Director, Global Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Leasing & Technical Services at dnata, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the global strategy for GSE leasing solutions and technical services across dnata’s Airport Operations. You will lead the development and delivery of strategic plans that provide full-service leasing and fleet support to dnata, as well as third-party ground handlers, airlines, and airports throughout our international network. In addition, you will drive the standardisation and optimisation of GSE utilisation, while spearheading the advancement of dnata’s Sustainable Asset Management agenda.

In This Role, You Will

  • Implement and embed a centralised ownership model for GSE leasing across dnata international airport operations.
  • Define the global implementation roadmap supporting local deployment of Technical Services fleet strategies.
  • Develop the commercial strategy for external partnerships and agreements for third party leasing and pooling opportunities to ground handlers, airlines and airports.
  • Define the CAPEX budget for GSE and technical services infrastructure.
  • In collaboration with corporate stakeholders including Group P&L, oversee the procurement of global GSE to ensure alignment with dnata’s Sustainable Asset Management Agenda.
  • Align technical services vertical strategy to dnata’s goals and objectives.
  • Lead the innovation roadmap for global Technical Services and support the development of monetisation models across dnata international airport operations.
  • Lead the global Technical Services teams to ensure each business has optimised GSE available to support successful delivery to achieve operational performance targets.
  • Ensure all business activities are carried out in accordance with the dnata Way (governance manual) and all other applicable local and international laws, regulations, standards and rules. Acts in the best interest of the company at all times, ensuring all business decisions are made based on authority level limits and after the appropriate level of due diligence and risk analysis has been carried out.
  • Leads with safety as a priority, ensuring all decisions are made with safety in mind. Role models safety behaviours.

Qualifications & Experience

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • A Degree or Honours, ideally in business, finance or economics or an aviation industry related subject
  • 12+ years’ experience in a related field, with a minimum of 5 years in a fleet management role
