Marine Technical Surveyor

The Marine Technical Surveyor will deliver specialist technical expertise to Global Maritime’s marine, technical, and engineering departments. The role involves conducting assurance activities, inspections, and audits across a wide range of vessels and offshore operations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and client requirements. The position requires active participation in technical investigations, preparation of reports, and provision of expert advisory support to clients and internal teams. The surveyor will also represent Global Maritime as a trusted advisor, support business development initiatives, and maintain adherence to company values, safety standards, and quality systems.
Job Requirements:
Valid Unlimited COC Chief Engineer certification.
Proven experience in technical marine inspections of jack-up barges and lift-boats.
Strong background in DP vessels, rigs, and offshore operations at senior/management level.
Excellent technical report writing and client-facing communication skills.
In-depth knowledge of maritime legislation, industry best practices, and client-specific requirements.
Ability to perform FMEA/FMECA, DP trials, and technical incident investigations.
Competence in conducting barge audits, jacking trials, ROV audits, and vessel suitability surveys.
Familiarity with ADNOC Offshore standards, JUIMS requirements, and IMCA guidelines.
Highly motivated, self-driven, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
Commitment to maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the GM Business Management System (BMS).
Conduct DP marine assurance activities, including annual DP trials, FMEAs, and technical investigations.
Perform technical inspections, suitability surveys, and audits on DP and non-DP vessels, jack-up barges, and lift-boats.
Act as Independent Competent Person (ICP) for barge audits and intake inspections in line with ADNOC Offshore and JUIMS standards.
Prepare high-quality technical reports, manuals, and documentation, including FMEA reports, DP gap analyses, CAMO, and ASOG.
Attend vessels for jacking trials, incident follow-ups, and verification of repairs.
Carry out ROV audits in compliance with IMCA standards and client-specific requirements.
Provide expert technical advice to clients and internal teams, representing Global Maritime as a trusted advisor.
Support business development initiatives by promoting company services and contributing to growth.
