Mason

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mason to perform a wide range of masonry duties, including laying bricks, blocks, and stones, repairing existing structures, and constructing walls, walkways, and other stone or concrete features. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction practices and be able to work efficiently with precision and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Lay bricks, concrete blocks, stones, and other types of building materials.
• Mix and prepare mortar or grout manually or using machines.
• Construct and repair walls, floors, chimneys, and decorative stonework.
• Cut and shape materials to fit specific measurements using tools such as trowels, hammers, and power saws.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and project plans to meet exact specifications.
• Ensure structures are level, plumb, and properly aligned.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety on the job site.
• Use proper lifting techniques and tools to handle heavy materials.
• Perform repair and restoration of damaged masonry surfaces.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals and follow supervisor instructions.
  
  

Qualifications And Skills

• Proven experience as a Mason or similar role in the construction industry.
• Familiarity with brick, stone, and block laying techniques.
• Knowledge of safety standards and building codes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

• Vocational training or certification in masonry or construction.
• Experience with both residential and commercial masonry projects.
