About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mason to join our team in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. As a Mason, you will play a crucial role in constructing and maintaining various structures using materials such as brick, stone, concrete, and tile. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a collaborative environment.

• Interpret blueprints and specifications to plan work and estimate material requirements
• Prepare and mix materials according to specifications, including mortar, paste, cement, and slacking lime
• Construct and repair walls, floors, and other structures using brick, stone, concrete, and tile
• Perform minor repairs to civil structures, including painting, tiling, and gypsum work
• Install and repair concrete, terrazzo, quarry tile, wall tile, ceramic floor, and specialty floors
• Erect barricades and place warning signals around work sites to ensure safety
• Operate sandblasting equipment to smooth or prepare surfaces as needed
• Mix mortar and maintain proper consistency for various applications
• Document all work performed and materials used for accurate record-keeping
• Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure timely project completion
• Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times

What do we need from you

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Mason or in a similar capacity
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications
• Strong knowledge of various construction materials and techniques
• Excellent skills in brick laying, stone masonry, concrete work, and tiling
• Experience with sandblasting equipment and minor structural repairs
• Basic math skills for accurate material estimation and measurement
• Physical stamina and strength to perform demanding tasks throughout the workday
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Problem-solving abilities to address unexpected issues on the job site
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work well in a team environment
• Thorough understanding of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and at heights when necessary
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations (preferred)
• Valid work authorization for the United Arab Emirates
