Provide technical leadership in materials selection, corrosion mitigation, and asset integrity for topsides processing facilities, island-based platforms, and subsea pipeline systems within ADNOC Offshore projects under PMC scope.
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Assess corrosion risks for topsides (HP/HT service, sour gas, seawater injection), pipelines (wet gas, multiphase), and island plant facilities.
- Review and endorse materials selection diagrams (MSDs), corrosion control documents, and painting/coating specifications.,
- Provide PMC oversight for EPC contractor submissions, pre-qualification of materials suppliers, and welding qualifications.
- Multidisciplinary support to corrosion engineer, process, piping, pipelines. mechanical, instrumentation, civil / structure, HSE
- Conduct corrosion risk assessments and integrity reviews.
- Review technical deviation requests, resolve technical issues in joint discussions with stakeholders.
- Participate in failure investigations and provide root cause analysis related to material or corrosion issues.
- Monitor implementation of internal coatings, inhibitors, pigging systems, and leak detection technologies.
- Interface with QA/QC, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams for materials integrity verification.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, NACE, and international codes for materials and corrosion control.
Skills And Qualifications

Expected
- Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgy, Materials Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in oil & gas industry, with at least 5 years in corrosion/materials roles.
- Experience with offshore facilities, piping systems, and topside equipment.
- Familiarity with ADNOC standards, NACE MR0175/ISO 15156, ASME, and API codes.
- Knowledge of corrosion monitoring and mitigation techniques.
- Strong understanding of metallurgy, corrosion mechanisms, and protective systems.
- Capable of reviewing material specifications and technical evaluations.
- Proficient in preparing corrosion assessments and integrity reports.
- Good communication and coordination with engineering, operations, and vendors.
