Our Oilfield Services Team is assembling and testing the latest products of oilfield equipment which is beating heart of our work.

We collaborate with our development teams in science, mechanical and electrical engineering, physics, geoscience, to develop innovative drilling tools.

As a Measurement While Drilling Field Specialist, you will learn how to operate and run Baker Hughes Logging while Drilling tools and services under direct supervision.

As a Field Specialist, you will be responsible for:

• Identifying various types of oilfield equipment
• Performing basic troubleshooting at the wellsite
• Determining the equipment’s current operational status
• Performing all required responsibilities safely and as described in work instructions
• Conducting all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values
• Operating and maintaining all types of LWD tools and the proposed BHA/LWDprograms.
• Troubleshooting and correcting tool problems and failures.
• Operating the onsite computer services equipment to meet all the requirements of the equipment.
• Performing all required LWD data processing and QA/QC.
• Detecting and resolving anomalies in LWD data related to tools failure, formation response, telemetry issue, etc.
  
  
  

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Have a minimum of seven years of experience in directional survey with the relevant surveying tools to be used on the rig, as well as drilling optimization tools e.g Copilot and other relevant measurements tool.
• Have experience with RPS and LithoTrak tools operations
• Have extensive experience with Baker Hughes advanced LWD tools such as STK, SDTK, TTK, NBG
• Have a technical Diploma – preferably technical/engineering/sciences
• Be qualified in accordance with Baker Hughes competency and training requirements.
• Be fluent in the English language (i.e., speaking, reading, and writing)
• Be ambitious and willing to learn
• Have strong communication and inter-personal skills
