Jacobs is looking for a talented Mechanical BIM Modeler to join our Buildings & Logistics team in Dubai. This role will provide you with the ability to develop and implement scripting or automation workflows within BIM software to enhance efficiency and accuracy. You will also contribute to the development of the consultancy's BIM library and content.

Where You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop and manage detailed Building Information Models (BIM) for mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Produce accurate and comprehensive 3D models adhering to specified Levels of Development (LOD), ensuring clash-free designs.
  • Conduct clash detection and resolution using BIM software, coordinating with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines.
  • Generate high-quality 2D drawings (plans, sections, elevations, details) and schedules directly from the BIM model.
  • Establish and maintain BIM standards, protocols, and workflows in accordance with project requirements and consultancy best practices.
  • Adheare to project-specific BIM execution plans (BEPs).
  • Extract and analyze relevant data and parameters from the BIM model for design analysis, quantity take-offs, and cost estimations.

Here's what you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree or 3 years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven experience of 5+ year as a Mechanical BIM Modeler, preferably within a design consultancy environment.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in industry-standard BIM software such as Autodesk Revit MEP, Revizto, Rhino.
  • Thorough understanding of Level of Development (LOD) specifications and their practical application.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical building systems, relevant codes, and standards.
  • Experience in conducting clash detection and resolution using software like Navisworks.
  • Ability to generate accurate 2D documentation from BIM models.
  • Understanding of BIM parameters, data management, and information exchange workflows.
  • Experience in implementing BIM execution plans (BEPs).
