Role Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Mechanical Inspector to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality building projects across the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for site-based inspections and ensuring all mechanical works comply with project specifications, applicable codes, and industry best practices. This is a project role for six months with it possibly being extended.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily site inspections of mechanical installations, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems.
  • Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and relevant codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, etc.).
  • Prepare and submit inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and progress updates.
  • Witness and verify testing and commissioning activities of mechanical systems.
  • Coordinate with other discipline inspectors to ensure multidisciplinary coordination on-site.
  • Assist in reviewing mechanical shop drawings, materials submittals, and method statements.
  • Participate in project and site meetings, as required.
  • Identify and report potential risks or quality concerns to the project team.
  • Ensure health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance on-site.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Mechanical Inspector, preferably on building projects in the UAE or GCC.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and international standards.
  • Previous experience with consultants or supervision teams is preferred.
  • Familiarity with local authority regulations and approvals in the UAE.
  • Proficiency in report writing and documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Certifications (Preferred):

  • Certified Mechanical Inspector or relevant quality certification (e.g., ASME, ASHRAE)


UAE Society of Engineers membership or equivalent (advantageous)

Working Conditions:

  • Site-based role with regular inspections in varying weather conditions.
  • Occasional extended hours or weekend work may be required depending on project timelines.
