- Provide scientific, medical, and technical expertise to the Itepekimab team.
- Plan the Products/Portfolio Medical affairs strategy to effectively support in the development of existing and new business opportunities in full alignment with Company processes and guidelines.
- Understand the local therapy area’s patient journey of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in detail to be able to clearly identify the unmet needs and design the strategic directions accordingly in alignment with the global directions.
- Leads the pre-launch preparation and establishes the new dynamics of therapy area with the concerned specialties.
- Works in collaboration with the leading experts to update, improve and personalize the current treatment paradigm of the therapy area to match with the available treatment options.
- Translates agreed strategies into clear, tangible, and actionable plans and initiatives as per the patient journey’s needs from diagnosis to treatment and ongoing care.
- Defines and balances strategic priorities against immediate operational challenges.
- Empowers teams to face challenges, make decisions, and act.
- Reviews and evaluates progress against agreed targets, timelines, and budgets.
Responsibilities: -
- Responsible for Planning and executing the medical affairs strategic plan on products /portfolio /therapeutic areas in full alignment with the business strategy and with the company processes and guidelines.
- In collaboration with the Field based Medical team, the Medical Manager must establish strong connections with key opinion leaders and healthcare organizations and ensure that significant developments in the field are identified and monitored.
- Organize and Lead the preparation of local advisory boards and expert meetings.
- Attend local, regional, and international scientific events where needed.
- Active participation in the cross-functional local brand teams (Commercial, Market access, Regulatory, PV…)
- Set the scientific pillars and communication plan of the Field-based medical teams.
- Ensure cross-functional excellence between Medical and other departments on both local and global levels.
- Review and validate promotional material according to legal and company guidelines aiming to promote products without compromising legal or other guidelines
- Ensure proper implementation of the Medical Governance and interaction with HCPs (Organization of and Contribution to Events involving HCPs and Healthcare Organizations)
- Providing medical support for the company by acting as contact person in consultation with the Medical Lead, with external and internal stakeholders
- Provide medical and scientific trainings to the affiliate teams.
- Active involvement in Patient Support Program development: review of the PSP curriculum, education of the teams on PSP processes and follow-up on implementation to be compliant with guidelines.
- Act as a point of contact for medical information related to Sanofi products.
- Provide leadership and medical expertise in the development of local Medical affairs and clinical research plan in line with the global strategy.
- Support in the implementation of the local clinical research plan by advising, guiding, and managing the development of protocols from concept phase to implementation, support in the initiation visits and discussions with investigators, clinical study report elaboration and publications.
- Provide medical expertise in the review of safety cases reported locally and contribute to the risk management measures related to Sanofi products.
- Participate in the Medical Affairs SOP development and ensure all SOPs are updated effectively and affiliate procedures are in line with the global requirements.
- Abide by the requirements of the internal Code of Ethics including but not restricted to maintaining high professional standards of conduct in line with the Company procedure with a duty of care to the reputation of the Company
- Takes personal accountability to use personal experience and knowledge, as well as the training and tools provided by Sanofi, to maintain a good knowledge and understanding of all ethics and governance relevant to the role (Sanofi Policies and Procedures and any relevant legal requirements) and demonstrate personal leadership in applying these to all work undertaken.
- Escalates any decisions, or seek the support of colleagues or management if personal knowledge and understanding is not at the level required to carry out any part of the role

- Respiratory experience is a plus.
