• JOB SCOPE AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  
  

As Medical Representative you will disseminate knowledge about our key categories such as Myopia, Presbyopia and Light Management, products and services, with the mission of creating and maintaining a relationship of trust and credibility and a true partnership with ophthalmologists and optometrists, prescribing eye care professionals.

As part of a committed regional Medical and Professional affairs team, you will report to the GCC Medical and Professional Affairs management.

• AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES
• Develop the prescriptions and turnover of your sector in coordination with your Manager.
• Dispense medical and technical education & training including prescription criteria, latest clinical data and recent studies.
• Establish the plan and schedule of your visit and meetings, while building your network in the Ophthalmology field in collaboration with the GCC Medical and Professional Affairs management.
• Conduct training events, master classes, trainings, webinars on Essilor products for both Eye Care Professionals and company employees.
• Speak and present to a medical and professional environment on topics related to Eye Care, Eye Health, screening and prescribing lens solution for current Ophthalmic refractive concerns.
• Explain EssilorLuxottica products and services to ophthalmologists, orthoptists, optometrists as well as to relevant eye and healthcare professionals (visits, training, information meetings, conferences, etc.).
• Monitor the results and KPIs, if necessary, apply the corrective actions & reporting.

INTERNAL Coordinate with all the internal stakeholders on product specific campaigns and subjects of focus.

This includes and not limited to Commercial, Marketing, & Education department.

EXTERNAL Reach out and deliver the right information with the best approach to different stakeholders and positions within the ophthalmology field.

This includes and not limited to Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, Opticians, Orthoptists, Hospital/Clinic Staff and Store Sales if needed.

• TECHNICAL SKILLS - PORTRAIT OF A PERFECT CANDIDATE
• Educational Background in Science, Optics or Biomedical Engineering
• Optical/Optometry degree is a plus
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience as medical representative or similar in the field of Ophthalmology in the UAE
• Solid Experience in the UAE ophthalmology market and the pool of Ophthalmologists.
• Strong connections and big network within the industry.
• Medical Training & medical education experience
• Strong interpersonal skills, active listening, the ability to convince and develop the skills of your interlocutors
• Autonomous with entrepreneur mindset
• Ability to work within a group and a highly competitive environment
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Results oriented, autonomous, organized, able to take initiatives and active team player. To succeed in this position you will need to know how to adapt to your different contacts and stakeholders, relations skills, demonstrate creativity in your approach, know how to act and possess leadership to convince.
• Basic IT tools knowledge is essential (Office Pack, Web, etc.)
• Driver’s License & Own a car
• Travel flexibility within the UAE
• CANDIDATE PROFILE
• Educational Background in Science, Optics or Biomedical Engineering.
• Optical/Optometry degree is a plus.
