We are seeking a skilled and driven MEP BIM Lead to join our dynamic Building Services team. This role will be instrumental in leading the development and coordination of BIM deliverables across multidisciplinary projects, ensuring the highest quality of digital design delivery. The MEP BIM Lead will work closely with engineers, project managers, and digital design teams to integrate mechanical, electrical, and public health systems into coordinated 3D models, supporting our commitment to innovation and excellence in design.

About the Role :

The MEP BIM Lead will oversee the development, coordination, and delivery of Building Information Models for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems across multidisciplinary projects. This role requires strong technical expertise in BIM software, leadership in design coordination, and a proactive approach to digital innovation and quality assurance.

Key Roles And Responsibilities

Lead BIM delivery for MEP services across major building projects.

Manage and develop BIM execution plans (BEP) and ensure compliance with client and project-specific requirements.

Coordinate MEP models with architectural, structural, and specialist disciplines to resolve spatial and technical clashes.

Supervise the setup and maintenance of federated models, including model QA/QC and clash detection (using Navisworks or similar tools).

Support the engineering team in developing coordinated design solutions within Revit and other relevant platforms.

Maintain BIM libraries and standards in alignment with industry best practices (ISO 19650, COBie, etc.).

Provide mentorship, training, and support to BIM technicians and junior engineers.

Collaborate with the Digital Lead to drive innovation and efficiency in digital design workflows.

Assist in resource planning and manage delivery timelines to ensure BIM deliverables are aligned with project milestones.

Support project teams in client presentations, digital coordination meetings, and design reviews.

Working with Project Managers to ensure drawings are being delivered on time and within budget

Technical Skills And Experience Required

10+ years’ experience in a similar role or relevant technical role

Previous experience in managing a team is desirable

Technical and Organisational Expertise

Excellent knowledge of GHD and client drafting standards.

Excellent BIM skills are essential in Revit and Civil 3D, BIM 360 and CDEs.

Skills covering a wide variety of other BIM authoring technologies and cloud based applications is also desired.

Should have advanced technical skills in REVIT to be able create complex modelling.

Has strong working knowledge of Naviswork and is able to carry out Clash Detection.

Technical capability of BIM LOD 350 with knowledge of 400 and 500

Strong expertise and experience in Digital/Big Data Analytics/ A.I./Machine Learning algorithms, respective programming knowledge.

Experience using Navisworks for clash detection reporting, renderings and presentations.

A proven record of accomplishment in coordination and management of Information Models for large multidisciplinary buildings and/or infrastructure projects.

Sound understanding of professional consulting services with a client focus.

Experience in providing on-the-job training (BIM/Revit) to Architecture, Structures and MEP teams.
