MEP Project Manager

The Role
Our Multi National MEP Contractor client has a new requirement for a well experienced MEP Project Manager to join their team in the Ras Al Khaimah, UAE to work on major new high rise projects in the Emirates and wider GCC. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a MEP Project Manager on complex major new build projects. This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent placement with our client. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and agree the project execution plan with the project team and ensure that all parties have a clear understanding of the deliverables. • Ensure that the contract is carried out in a cost-effective manner – manage the Cost Versus Allowable process and Commercial interface ensuring that the base contract profit is maintained. • Ensure that the Project Engineering is managed in an effective manner making sure that the contract deliverables, value engineering and submittal phases are well coordinated and controlled. • Ensure that the site installation teams have the relevant goals set in place and that the overall objectives are attainable with the supplied information, materials and resources. Utilise marked up drawings and area deliverable requirements to line management. Make sure that all QA/QC documentation is managed and up to date. • Manage a procurement/long lead item schedule in tandem with your line managers indicating delivery dates and the status of the pending material/s deliveries. Reciprocating programme control from the MEP site team to the Main Contractor must be updated and live at all times. • Carry out a weekly HSE meeting and record the general concerns and actions required by the relevant line managers and update all sub-contract agreements and conditions of employment to satisfy the latest SHEIRMS agreements. • Carry out weekly Commercial meetings incorporating Change Management Control, Variations, Deviations, Procurement Analysis and Cost Versus Allowable impact. • Carry out weekly progress meetings with the deliverable teams incorporating the Cost Versus Allowable information with the actual site performance. • Manage the Human Resource requirements and issue Staff & Labour Scheduling with Un/Loading requirements with performance reports – Make sure that company disciplinary and performance reward requirements are compiled and reported within the bi/monthly project reports. • Ensure that the Monthly Project Reports are accurate and issued per the requirements of the project reporting schedule. Update the CVA with Senior Management and make sure that the CTC and Monthly Costs are Managed in line with the commercial requirements of the project. • Carry out works as directed by Senior Management & Co-Ordinate the Project requirements ensuring that the Project is delivered on time and in budget.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent. NVQ vocational certificates are also acceptable. Advanced degrees or certifications in related fields a plus. with ‘Time’ Management experience (10 Years+). • Selected at Discretion of Senior Management. • Aligned, Commercially Aware, Honest and Shows high levels of Integrity. • Professional Project Management certification (e.g., PMP) desirable. Agile, Lean methodologies a bonus. • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork in multidisciplinary teams essential. Must adapt well to varying project requirements. • Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and ability to work under pressure required. Proactive project management approach valued. • Understands and manages the base technical requirements of the Project. • Records Primary Performance Documentation Requirements (Base Management) • Manages the Commercial Variables of the Project (Commercial Management) • Manages the Project QA/QC requirements (QA/QC) • Manages the Project Programme Deliverables (Planning Management) • Manages the Project HSE Requirements (HSE Management)
