About The Role

Join our team as a Mermaid Diver and bring enchantment to life beneath the waves! We are seeking a skilled and charismatic Underwater Mermaid Performer to entertain and captivate guests through live aquatic performances. As a performer, you will embody the magic and mystique of a mermaid, delivering graceful, choreographed routines while freediving in full costume. This unique role combines artistry with athleticism, requiring strong swimming and breath-holding abilities, the ability to perform at depth, and a natural flair for engaging with audiences. Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform as a mermaid in underwater shows, meet-and-greets, and themed events.
• Swim gracefully in a mermaid tail while executing choreographed routines or improvisational movements.
• Participate in rehearsals, costume fittings, and promotional activities.
• Maintain physical fitness and water safety proficiency
• Follow safety procedures and emergency protocols as instructed by staff or Dive Safety Officer.
• Follows all policies and procedures set in the Atlantis Dubai Dive Operations Manual
• Assist ihe care, maintenance, and cleaning of mermaid costumes and equipment.
• Logs and reports all equipment malfunctions to supervisor immediately.
• Maintains dive logs and records of own dives.
• Ensures a complete understanding and adheres to policies of all division / department policies.
• Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment for both people and animals.
• Attend meetings and trainings as requested and required.
• Maintains a sound knowledge of the Company’s facilities and related services.
• Maintains confidentiality of information always received.
• Performs other reasonable duties throughout the Division as requested by management.
  
  

About You

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mermaid Diver to join our dynamic performance team. The ideal candidate will be a certified freediver with a recognized certification and the ability to pass an annual departmental swim test, demonstrating excellent swimming skills and breath-holding capability. Candidates should have experience in aquatic performance, synchronized swimming, diving, or dance, and be comfortable engaging with large audiences, including children and families. This role requires the ability to swim and perform underwater in varying water temperatures for extended periods, with endurance for repetitive movement and wearing a monofin or mermaid tail. Applicants must be in excellent physical condition, able to pass an annual dive medical, lift costume elements or equipment up to 25 lbs, and hold (or be willing to obtain) CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications. A flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings is essential, along with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and professional conduct.
