NPD Project Manager

Dubai, UAE


This role aims to lead the internal effort to win and flawlessly deliver EMEA Flavour Solutions (business to business) commercialisation projects. These include launches of new product innovations and product/packaging changes manufactured out of plants in the EMEA region.


Reporting to the Senior Commercialisation Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing new product development and commercialization projects within the business. You will be leading a cross-functional team of Product/Packaging Development, Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Technical, Finance experts. This is a pivotal role which ensures speed and innovation remain a core competency and that the team is kept focused, energized, and on track to meet the objectives of our projects. The candidate should be able to handle multiple priorities, in a fast-paced environment.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Lead the project lifecycle activities from project initiation to project closure.
  • Keep the internal stakeholders informed of progress, highlight risks, and escalate issues.
  • Develop root cause and corrective actions of recurring product, process, and service issues.
  • Lead project team meetings and other methods of communication- always demonstrating strong meeting management and facilitation skills to champion quality outputs.
  • Maintain project data, which supports the progression of the projects and the IBP (Integrated Business Planning) process.
  • Ensure that the commercialisation process and accountabilities are well understood within the functions and that the organisation is aligned to deliver executional excellence.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the process and lead their implementation


CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • 5 years of Project Management experience
  • Turkish will be an advantage
  • Previous experience in an FMCG environment, typically with experience in either Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, or Marketing is desirable.
  • Previous experience in working with a CRM system (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with bias for action, ability to multi-task, be resourceful and adaptable
  • Critical thinking skills and proven business acumen
  • Ability to motivate others to achieve results and to deliver against commitments without formal authority
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to influence at all management levels
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and Lotus Notes experience preferred
