Officer Airside Operations GAA

The purpose of the Airside Operations Officer (AOO) role is to provide excellent customer service to airlines and other key stakeholders while ensuring the airside environment is safe and serviceable. The AOO will be part of the 24-hour Airside Operations Team and will support the DMA in maintaining aerodrome safety and standards in accordance with the Aerodrome Certificate issued by the GCAA and other relevant legislation. The role requires exceptional communication skills to effectively engage with customers, senior management, government agencies, and emergency services to ensure efficient execution of operational plans and activities.
- Comply with all company management systems, policies, and Standard Operating Procedures, including regulatory requirements.
- Assist senior officers to ensure the aerodrome operates safely and efficiently.
- Conduct movement area inspections and wildlife inspections as per the wildlife hazard management plan.
- Enforce strict safety protocols for all airside users.
- Document daily activities and events in the duty log.
- Establish excellent communication with customers and stakeholders, particularly during emergencies.
- Meet team objectives and individual performance targets.
- Oversee contractor work on the airfield, ensuring compliance with work permits and regulatory standards.
- Incorporate learnings from previous activities into a continuous improvement process.
- Respond to incidents and accidents, reporting events according to standard procedures.
- Provide escort services for police, VIPs, ambulances, and contractors as needed.
- Participate in airport emergencies in line with the ADIA emergency plan.
- Obtain necessary training to maintain aerodrome certification.
- Collaborate with all stakeholders.
- Execute additional assignments as directed by airside operations.
- Proficient in English communication (spoken, written, and reading).
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in relevant software.
- Valid UAE Driving License.
- Strong sense of responsibility and reliability in task performance.
- Positive work attitude and strong teamwork skills.
- Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations.
- Minimum of secondary school education or equivalent aviation diploma.
- At least 2 years of experience in airport operations and conducting aerodrome inspections.
- Experience with GCAA and statutory legal requirements.
- Understanding of the airside environment and technical competencies related to the role.
