OFFSHORE STRUCTURAL DESIGNER

We are seeking an experienced Offshore Structural Designer with proficiency in TEKLA software to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and detailing complex offshore structures, including platforms, jackets, and other marine structures. This role involves close collaboration with engineers and project teams to develop accurate 3D models and drawings for fabrication and construction, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop detailed 3D models of offshore structures using TEKLA software, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
• Prepare fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and material take-offs from TEKLA models.
• Collaborate with structural engineers and other design disciplines to ensure the structural integrity and feasibility of designs.
• Modify and update models based on feedback and changes in project specifications.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations (e.g., API, AISC, ISO).
• Participate in design reviews, clash detection, and interdisciplinary coordination.
• Assist in resolving design and construction issues by providing technical input and support.
• Manage project deliverables within set deadlines and maintain documentation of revisions and approvals.
• Conduct quality checks and ensure that all deliverables meet client expectations and project requirements.
• Stay updated with advancements in TEKLA software and offshore structural design best practices.
  
  
  

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma or degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in offshore structural design, with a strong focus on TEKLA software.
• Proficient in developing detailed 3D models and producing fabrication drawings for offshore structures.
• Solid understanding of offshore structural design principles, load calculations, and fabrication processes.
• Knowledge of industry codes and standards (e.g., API, ISO, AISC) applicable to offshore structures.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical information clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality deliverables.
• Experience with other design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SACS, PDMS) is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight project deadlines.
