OpenShift and OpenStack Operations Engineer
We're looking for a skilled OpenShift and OpenStack Operations Engineer to join our managed services team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations and 24/7 support of our critical OpenShift and OpenStack environments. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of these systems, addressing high-priority issues, and performing routine administrative tasks.

OpenShift and OpenStack Operations Engineer in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
We're looking for a skilled OpenShift and OpenStack Operations Engineer to join our managed services team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations and 24/7 support of our critical OpenShift and OpenStack environments. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of these systems, addressing high-priority issues, and performing routine administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 24/7 support for P1 and P2 issues within our OpenShift and OpenStack environments, including weekends.
- Administer and maintain Red Hat OpenStack Services on OpenShift (RHOSO) and other OpenShift components.
- Perform operational tasks related to Kubernetes, including managing containerized applications with Docker.
- Work with infrastructure-as-code tools, particularly Terraform, for system configuration and management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex performance and network issues.
- Configure and manage firewall and web server tools on Linux.
- Implement and maintain solutions such as Loki Stack for logging and HashiCorp Vault for secrets management.
- Support various integrations, including storage (Cinder), backup (OADP), and security tools.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 10 years of overall IT experience, with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a Unix/Linux administration background.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with OpenShift and OpenStack.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes administration.
- Expert-level knowledge of cluster solutions.
- Required: Certification in RHEL, SuSE, or OEL.
- Preferred: Certifications in OpenShift, OpenStack, or other cluster solutions.
- Experience with Ubuntu.
- Experience with onsite datacenter environments.
- Knowledge of storage, SAN, and backup technologies.
- Familiarity with ITIL methodologies.
- Knowledge of hardware from entry-level to high-end servers.
