Responsibilities

My client in Dubai is looking for an Operational Manager to lead the operational team, deliver on time keys results, manage team performance whilst keeping the quality of work high:

  • Lead the operational delivery of the program, ensuring alignment with production milestones, safety, quality, and budgetary targets.
  • Define and implement operational strategies, reporting mechanisms, and KPIs to monitor and drive program performance
  • Oversee and coordinate the interface between production, engineering, planning, and support functions to enable seamless program execution.
  • Act as a key liaison with senior management, customers, and regulatory authorities, ensuring operational objectives align with business goals and compliance standards.
  • Maintain overall program integrity by ensuring all production activities adhere to GCAA Part 145 and internal quality systems.
  • Lead daily operational reviews, manpower planning, and performance tracking to ensure effective delivery of production tasks.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production workflows, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Provide leadership and direction to Managers, including coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Collaborate with procurement, subcontractors, and support functions to secure necessary resources and capabilities.
  • Manage and escalate operational risks, issues, and deviations, implementing corrective actions and recovery plans where required.
  • Ensure robust communication and reporting lines between operations, planning, engineering, and quality departments.

About You..

:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in aviation or aerospace operations, with at least 5 years in a senior management capacity.
  • Strong understanding of aviation production and maintenance operations, including Part 145 regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale programs and cross-functional teams in a high-compliance environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership in operational planning, resource management, and performance optimisation.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels, from workshop teams to executive stakeholders.
  • Experience in process improvement, lean methodologies, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and operational reporting tools.
  • Flexibility to travel as required by the program or business needs.
