Launched in April 2025, Emirates Courier Express is a global door to door delivery solution that is set to redefine the express delivery experience. With a strategic focus on customer experience, the service aims to make end to end shipping as fast, reliable and flexible as possible, as is now live in ten countries.

The Express Operations Manager will lead the Courier Express express operations, driving productivity and resource optimisation to meet operational goals ensuring that quality, safety and regulatory standards and procedures are not compromised.

In This Role You Will

  • Manage top line express operational activities and enable the the right people with the right skills to be assigned at the right time to accomplish the work that needs to be done.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the express operations team in areas such as performance management; upskilling and recognising development needs within the team.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external departments to positively enable department objectives.
  • Evaluate team performance against established goals and objectives, and provide meaningful and constructive feedback to individuals in accordance with the Emirates performance management principles.
  • Manage conduct and conflict within the team in line with the relevant policies and procedures ensuring consistency and objectivity.
  • Lead monthly team meetings based around investigation, audits and corrective actions to ensure safety, security and regulatory standards are applied without compromise.
  • Ensure all safety incidents and accidents are investigated effectively, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to regulatory obligations.
  • Prepare the daily hub operations and express hub service level reports and recommend changes to maintain and continuously improve express Service Delivery.
  • Recommend changes to Standard Operating Procedures as appropriate and encourage teams to participate in continuous improvement initiatives and new ways of doing things.
  • Ensure all deviations are handled, recorded and escalated as per controlled documents (QMS and Work Instructions) and ensure at all times, that the handling of express shipments demonstrates compliance with Internal and external requirements.

Qualification

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree or Honours with 8+ years of experience in Express/Courier Logistics. Other
  • 8+ years of experience in a courier and express Cargo operations environment, including at least 5 years at a supervisory/management level
  • Knowledge of global express operations and the area cargo environment including network and customs formalities
  • Proven ability to lead and develop staff
  • PC based skills including Microsoft Word/Excel/ E-Mail
  • Fluency in English is essential
