Driven to create unique home-grown food concepts that bring people together, the Independent Food Company is a UAE-based hospitality company with multiple concepts under its umbrella – SALT, Parker's, Grind, Somewhere and Public.
We are currently seeking to hire an experienced Operations Manager for the Ice Cream Concept. Responsible for leading and optimizing day-to-day operations across all outlets while developing and executing strategies that support the brand's growth, efficiency, and profitability. This role requires a strong blend of strategic planning, hands-on operations management, and leadership to deliver consistent, high-quality customer experience.
Responsibilities
We are currently seeking to hire an experienced Operations Manager for the Ice Cream Concept. Responsible for leading and optimizing day-to-day operations across all outlets while developing and executing strategies that support the brand's growth, efficiency, and profitability. This role requires a strong blend of strategic planning, hands-on operations management, and leadership to deliver consistent, high-quality customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of all ice cream branches, ensuring smooth service, team productivity, and adherence to brand standards.
- Strategize and lead the operational direction of the concept, aligning plans with business goals and growth targets.
- Develop and implement short- and long-term strategies to drive revenue growth, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure consistent product quality, hygiene, and safety across all locations in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Monitor and manage P&L, operational budgets, and cost control measures to achieve profitability targets.
- Lead and coach store managers and in-store teams through structured performance management and training.
- Set, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational milestones.
- Analyze sales trends, customer feedback, and operational metrics to inform decisions and optimize performance.
- Identify opportunities for brand expansion, strategic partnerships, and process improvements.
- Implement tools and procedures to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure service consistency.
- Manage new store openings and renovations, ensuring operational readiness and smooth execution.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Product Development for menu innovation, seasonal campaigns, and promotions.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain and Procurement to maintain optimal inventory levels and supplier reliability.
- Ensure full compliance with labor laws, health and safety standards, and company policies.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the operations team.
- Oversee and lead production of all products from CPU.
- Source and select best quality packaging for serving.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Hospitality Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of F&B operations experience, with at least 2 years managing multi-unit or concept-based businesses.
- Prior experience in managing dessert, ice cream, or café concepts is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership and people development capabilities.
- Proven strategic planning and execution skills.
- Financially savvy with strong understanding of P&L, cost controls, and forecasting.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in POS systems, reporting tools, and inventory management software.
