Business unit Purpose:

Job Purpose:
To plan, direct, monitor, and control the daily production activities of the Linencraft unit, ensuring optimal resource utilization to meet established laundering specifications and stringent delivery schedules. The role focuses on developing and implementing production systems and processes that align with Linencraft's current and long-term objectives for volume, cost efficiency, health, safety, environmental compliance, and quality standards, while addressing the needs of demanding customers and maintaining the unit's reputation for operational excellence.

Key Result Areas:
1.Implement and monitor occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and practices to drive continuous improvement and compliance across Linencraft units.

2.Facilitate the resolution of OHS disputes and escalate complex issues requiring senior management involvement to ensure a safe and productive work environment.

3.Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments, implementing effective control measures to minimize workplace incidents and enhance operational safety.

4.Create and enforce policies and procedures aligned with corporate guidelines to achieve production targets and maintain quality standards across all Linencraft units.

5.Lead and develop Assistant Managers, supervisors, team leaders across production activities, ensuring effective sorting, machine operation, processing, quality, throughput and packaging to achieve operational excellence.

6.Oversee recruitment, staff training, and performance management processes to build a skilled and motivated workforce while addressing staff issues through counselling and disciplinary measures.

7.Establish and manage operating budgets by optimizing resources and costs. Consistently achieve production targets, quality standards, and financial goals.

8.Analyse production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements to optimize resource utilization, minimize downtime, and improve performance.

9.Collaborate with Sales, Customer Care, other Linencraft units and Logistics teams to align laundering schedules with customer requirements and develop solutions for future growth.

10.Regularly review customer feedback, Engage and foster positive relationships with customers, initiate corrective actions, and ensure the delivery of high-quality services that meet or exceed customer expectations.

Job Context:
Linencraft is an ultra-modern, state-of-the-art, world-class laundry service provider, recognized as the Middle East*s most sophisticated industrial laundering and dry-cleaning facility. With a capacity of 177 tons of laundry spread across 13,500 square meters for Linencraft 1 at Dubai Investments Park, Linencraft stands as a benchmark for quality and innovation in the region. The facility is divided into five primary sections: Logistics, Airline Laundry Operations, Hospitality Operations, Dry Cleaning Operations, and Administration. Each section plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service and meeting the diverse needs of a wide customer base. The Operations Manager oversees the entire unit's operations, ensuring seamless coordination across all sections. The role requires addressing a broad spectrum of issues for Hospitality customers in close collaboration with the Sales and Customer Care Manager. A critical aspect of the role involves carefully evaluating customer needs and implementing appropriate actions to maintain high customer satisfaction. Additionally, the job holder must uphold Linencraft*s reputation as the regional benchmark for laundering quality standards. They are expected to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency while adhering to stringent delivery schedules in a challenging 24/7 environment.

This leadership role demands a proactive and strategic approach to manage the complexities of large-scale industrial laundering while fostering innovation, operational excellence, and customer-centricity.

Knowledge, Skills & Minimum Experience:
Education Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Textiles, Engineering, or a related field.

A certification or diploma in Industrial Management, Quality Management, or Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH) is preferred.

MBA or a postgraduate degree in Operations or Production Management is an added advantage.

Work Experience:
Minimum 7 years of experience in industrial laundry operations or related fields, with at least 4 years in a managerial role.

Proven track record in managing large-scale, 24/7 laundry production facilities with stringent delivery timelines.

Experience in working with diverse customers, such as airlines, hospitality, and healthcare industries.

Hands-on experience in implementing production systems, process improvements, and resource optimization.

Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, monitor operational costs, and achieve financial targets.

Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills to guide and motivate supervisors and staff.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address operational challenges.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage customer relationships.

Proficiency in resource planning, budgeting, and performance analysis to optimize operational efficiency.

Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage a 24/7 operation with stringent delivery schedules.

Knowledge of quality management systems and standards, including ISO certifications.

Analytical mindset to review production data, identify trends, and implement process improvements. Proficient in using PC applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and presentation software. Technical proficiency in laundry equipment, production systems, and maintenance planning.
