Job Description

  • Responsible for the design, development and implementation of software solutions with the highest attention to detail and compliance standards and brand guidelines. The role will be clustered according to technologies.

Main Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop software solutions from documented requirements and specifications
  • Participation in the software development lifecycle: implementation, tests, documentation, maintenance of software in the GUI, business logic and database layers.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines.
  • Produce clear, readable and maintainable code
  • Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices
  • Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts and software is necessary
  • Analyse and amend software errors in a timely and accurate fashion and provide status reports where required.
  • Guiding and coaching of junior members of the team
  • Handle the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines.
  • Research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production lifecycle.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation are maintained and reviewed by respective team.
  • Support of the operations team in troubleshooting critical production issues

Work Experience Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in professional software development
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Experience in working as part of a small to medium-sized development team
  • Experience in health insurance sector is a plus

EBS

  • Support Oracle EBS Add-ons and customizations for Middle East.
  • Develop SQL-PL/SQL scripts, interfaces, reports and forms using standard tool : Toad, Oracle Reports, Oracle Forms, Oracle Application Framework, JDeveloper and BI Publisher.
  • Performance tuning of sql and pl/sql code.
  • Develop, implement and support AME, Business Events and Workflow processes.
  • Develop and implement interfaces with other internal and external systems.
  • Good Knowledge in Oracle Financial and Procurement Modules.

Licensure / Certification Requirements

  • Relevant technologies certifications are a plus

  • Very good knowledge about software engineering best practices:
  • Design for long-term maintainability
  • Design for high scalability and robustness
  • Ability to follow design and coding conventions without supervisor intervention
  • Application of software design patterns and best practices
  • Version control and configuration management
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and computer science foundations, such as memory management and low-level algorithm performance
  • Knowledge on Source code version control system (BitBucket) and Team work spaces
  • Basic knowledge about service oriented architecture (SOA) and enterprise application integration (EAI) concepts
  • Basic knowledge about software development methodologies like the Rational Unified Process and Scrum
  • Basic knowledge about software modelling using the Unified Modelling Language (UML)
  • Very good command of written and spoken English; knowledge of Arabic language is an advantage
  • Very good analytical, planning, forecasting, execution and problem solving skills
  • Ability to acquire and apply new skills
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure
  • Respect and promote trust and confidentiality
  • Results oriented whilst ensuring high quality of work and able to “think out of the box”
  • Strong level of customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions
  • Able to work in a multi-cultural environment and promote teamwork and knowledge sharing in order to achieve goals and deliverables
  • Good knowledge of health insurance concepts
