We are seeking a passionate and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our signature Chinese restaurant. Set within a hotel that fuses Arabian hospitality with world-class luxury, this role calls for a dynamic leader who can deliver an exceptional dining experience rooted in the rich traditions of Chinese cuisine. The ideal candidate will be a daily source of inspiration for the team, upholding the outstanding service standards that define the Shangri-La experience.

What are we looking for?

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager in a high-end Chinese restaurant or luxury hotel.
• In-depth knowledge of Chinese cuisine, dining etiquette, and service styles (including Cantonese, Sichuan, and or regional specialties).
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
• Strong guest engagement and communication skills.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin or Cantonese.
• Knowledge of POS systems and restaurant operations software.
• Attention to detail.
• A warm and friendly character.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

What will you do?

• Oversee the daily operations of the Chinese restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest service and dining experiences.
• Lead, train, and motivate a multicultural service team to consistently deliver 5-star standards.
• Work closely with the Executive Chef to develop and execute authentic and innovative Chinese menus.
• Manage restaurant budgets, cost control, staffing, and scheduling.
• Implement marketing and promotional activities to maximize revenue.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
• To implement service standards and procedures to ensure that they are achieved and followed by proper training, supervision, and control.
• To rotate and schedule all staff to provide full coverage for efficient service and to maximize productivity.
• To motivate, educate and develop staff on a continuous basis to achieve an overall maximum of efficiency and confidence.
• To minimize guest complaints, but if it should occur, to take remedial action immediately
• To check on guest satisfaction by talking to the guest.

The hotel comprises 213 luxurious guestrooms and suites and 6 four-bedroom villas with private pools, all furnished to the highest standards in a modern Arabic style. To meet the needs of long-staying guests, the hotel offers 161 fully-furnished spacious serviced apartments ranging from studios to four-bedroom units. The hotel is located within the acclaimed Qaryat Al Beri complex, on a one-kilometre stretch of private beach overlooking the strait that separates Abu Dhabi Island from the mainland.
