Pediatric Surgeon

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat surgical conditions in infants, children, and adolescents
• Perform surgical procedures such as appendectomies, hernia repairs, and tumor removals
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans
• Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans
• Educate patients and their families on post-surgical care and recovery
• Stay up-to-date with medical advancements and participate in regular professional development activities
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a sterile environment during surgeries
• Manage and maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  
  

Requirements

• Medical degree from an accredited university
• Completion of residency in general surgery and fellowship in pediatric surgery
• Board certification in Pediatric Surgery
• Valid medical license to practice in the state
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail and ability to handle stressful situations
• Ability to work well in a team and independently
• Prior experience in pediatric surgery is preferred
