Key Responsibilities

• Perform surgical procedures on pediatric patients, ranging from newborns to teenagers.
• Diagnose and treat a variety of congenital and acquired conditions, including abdominal, thoracic, esophageal, colorectal, urological and oncological disorders.
• Coordinate and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, anesthesiologists and other medical professionals, to provide comprehensive care for patients.
• Extensive knowledge of the latest surgical techniques and technologies to optimize patient outcomes.
• Conduct patient consultations, examinations and follow-up appointments and provide thorough explanations of procedures, risks, and potential outcomes to patients and their families.
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical records of patients.
• Keep up-to-date with advancements in the field of pediatric surgery through attending conferences, seminars and reading relevant literature.
• Participate in teaching and mentoring medical students, residents and fellows.
  
  

Skills And Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board-certified in Pediatric Surgery.
• Valid state medical license.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Pediatric Surgery.
• Excellent surgical and clinical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and other medical professionals.
• Compassionate and empathetic nature.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records.
• Proficient in the use of medical technology and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
