- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Tourism, focusing on innovative and technology-driven aspects of the industry.
- Engage in research activities that lead to high-quality publications in internationally recognized journals, particularly those indexed in Scopus.
- Supervise graduate research projects, master's theses, and doctoral dissertations.
- Develop and enhance tourism curricula, incorporating smart technologies and industry trends.
- Participate in academic accreditation processes, ensuring alignment with the UAE Commission for Academic Accreditation and international standards.
- Perform administrative duties as assigned by the department, college, and university.
- Actively contribute to community service initiatives, including industry engagement, organizing academic events, and providing consultancy services.
- Advise and mentor students, guiding them in their academic and professional development.
- PhD in Tourism, Hospitality Management, or a related field from a recognized university.
- At least five years of effective teaching experience at both undergraduate and graduate levels in tourism or related areas.
- A strong research record with publications in internationally ranked, peer-reviewed journals with a solid impact factor or indexed in Scopus.
- Experience supervising graduation projects, as well as master’s and doctoral theses/dissertations.
- Proven ability to establish partnerships with industry and community stakeholders to enhance academic and research collaboration.
- A track record of service to the university and the wider academic community.
- Preference for candidates with experience in online/e-learning environments and digital pedagogical methods.
- Ability to integrate computer technology effectively into tourism education and research.
