Epic Piping has an exciting opportunity available for a Checker to be an integral part of our team. What You’ll Do

• Be familiar with client project scope and specifications.
• Check pipe spool drawings used for fabrication by shop against client drawings, scope, and specifications for accuracy and manufacturability, mark-up errors, and re-check corrections made by drafter before being released to shop for fabrication.
• Familiar with and utilize department standards, procedures, and guidelines.
• Understand shop methods used in the fabrication of pipe spools.
  
  

What You’ll Need

• Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering; preferred
• Experience: 3-4 years of experience in Pipe fabrication or similar
• Computer Skills: Outlook, Excel, and Work. AutoCAD is preferred.
• Certification/Licenses: None specifically required
• Other Requirements: Familiarity with codes and standards of ASTM, ASME, and PFI, familiarity with various metallurgies, and a basic understanding of non-destructive examination methods, heat treatments, paint, and welding procedures.
