Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Planning Engineer to join our Project Management Unit in Dubai. The successful candidate will support project managers and delivery teams in planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting on complex infrastructure and building projects. This role requires expertise in project controls, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate progress and schedule risks to stakeholders at all levels.

Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Planning Engineer to join our Project Management Unit in Dubai. The successful candidate will support project managers and delivery teams in planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting on complex infrastructure and building projects. This role requires expertise in project controls, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate progress and schedule risks to stakeholders at all levels.
Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and other planning tools.
- Monitor project progress, identify slippages, and recommend corrective actions.
- Support project managers in preparing baseline schedules, resource plans, and work breakdown structures (WBS).
- Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and earned value analyses for internal and client reporting.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to gather updates and forecast timelines.
- Assist with claims analysis, delay impact assessments, and time extension requests.
- Participate in risk workshops, tracking and updating schedule-related risk items.
- Ensure adherence to Zutari’s PMU standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- 3-5 years’ experience in planning & scheduling within major engineering / infrastructure / construction projects.
- Proven expertise in Primavera P6 and MS Project (Power BI knowledge a plus).
- Solid understanding of FIDIC contracts, cost and schedule risk management.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills with proficiency in Excel and schedule dashboards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic an advantage).
- Prior experience in consultancy or project management firms preferred.
- UAE / KSA experience highly desirable.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Collaborative team player who can work across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive approach to identifying risks and suggesting mitigation strategies.
