Contexte et environnement

TTEOM is the operating company of the power and desalination plant named Taweelah1 located in the Kingdom of Abu Dhabi. Shareholders in the operating company are Engie (50%) and TotalEnergies (50%). TTEOM operate to generate approximately revenues of 230MUSD, CAPEX of ~10MUSD and expected dividends of ~85MUSD

Activités

Functional

• Recommend operating procedures and standards to Owner to fulfill contract requirements
• Recommend for approval by Owner new maintenance plans, procedures and schedules to fulfill plant requirements
• Recommend and report on regular basis to Owner as per contract requirements.
  
  
  

Financial :

• Submit the Annual Operating Plan and Annual Budget for approval
• Operate within approved budgetary limits.
• Approve expenses incurred by subordinates in the course of performing their duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  
  
  

Administrative :

• Appraise and recommend for the approval by T otalEnergies-T ractebel Management and Owner any proposed major modifications in the basic organization plan intended to achieve better results in terms of productivity, efficiency and coordination.
• Select and approve the selection of personnel with proper qualifications to fill the subordinate positions under his jurisdiction.
• Sanction various types of leave periods for subordinates
  
  
  

Profil du candidat

Education, knowledge & experience :

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Ele ctrical Engineering (or relevant degree)

Master in Mechanical/Ele ctrical Engineering (or relevant degree) or equivalent experience is preferred

At least 15 years’ experience in managing power plants at managerial level

Preference for Power Generation/gas turbine/combin ed cycle/ Gas engine experience; desalination is a plus

Soft skills :

Communication: English is a must, Arabic strongly appreciated: excellent communications skills both written and verbal

The ability to bring people together and assist in reconciling differences

Excellent organizational skills

Social P erceptiveness: is aware of others’ reactions and understanding as to why they react the way they do

Inductive reasoning: the ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events)

Demonstrates management ability with highly developed interpersonal skills including subordinate development, team building and conflict resolution

Strong Organizational & Planning Skills Essential

Hands-on knowledge and background in water treatment equipment maintenance as related to high pressure boilers, cooling water systems and water purification equipment

Technical skills :

Computer literate: high degree of knowledge and experience in business based computing application such as Databases, Word Processors and Spreadsheets and Maintenance Management Systems

Demonstrate management ability with highly developed interpersonal skills including subordinate development, team building and conflict resolution.

Informations supplémentaires

Ensure implementation of effective and economical operating methods and techniques and identify technology changes, which can be implemented to advance the same.

Develop and ensure implementation of plans and procedures to achieve optimum availability and operating efficiency of the power and desalination plant.

Ensure and direct implementation of efficient and effective maintenance methods and techniques.

Analyze and study operating maintenance costs and take necessary measures as required.

Establish and ensure maintenance of effective monitoring and reporting systems.

Ensure that adequate and trained personnel are available to effectively carry out plant activities and oversee programs for training Arab and U.A.E. nationals.

Coordinate and control relations with Owner, necessary for accomplishment of the function and ensure that the staff are kept informed of technical developments in fields of present or potential interest.

Coordinate and control all interfaces with Owner, ADWEC, ADNOC, Transco and Operator of the Shared Facilities necessary for the accomplishment of the function.

Provide Owner and TotalEnergies -Tractebel Management with a summary of daily log sheet, daily performance report, weekly water status report, monthly performance as well as operating and maintenance activities with any recommendation s of modification and an annual report.

Ensure that incident reports with causes and remedial actions are forwarded to TotalEnergies -Tractebel management and Owner.

Confirm and approve all purchase requisitions initiated by Department Heads and Section Heads.

Approve recommendation s for spare parts purchases made by Department Heads.

Chair weekly meetings with Department Heads to discuss operating conditions, maintenance progress and any difficulties and plan activities for following week.

Ensure operation and maintenance is in line with the O & M Contract
