Installation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and connect pipes, fittings, and fixtures in outlets for water, drainage, and gas systems.
  • Install plumbing appliances such as sinks, toilets, bathtubs, dishwashers, and water heaters.

Maintenance And Repairs

  • Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, such as leaks, clogged drains, broken pipes, and faulty water heaters.
  • Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent future issues.

Troubleshooting And Diagnostics

  • Use plumbing tools and diagnostic equipment to identify issues such as water pressure problems, blockages, and pipe corrosion.
  • Recommend and implement solutions to address plumbing problems efficiently.

Safety And Code Compliance

  • Ensure all plumbing work meets local building codes, health regulations, and safety standards.
  • Adhere to safety practices while working in potentially hazardous environments, such as dealing with gas lines or wastewater systems.

Emergency Services

  • Provide emergency plumbing services, such as handling burst pipes or sewer backups, especially in critical situations.

Record Keeping

  • Keep accurate records of services provided, materials used, and any repairs or installations performed.

Skills And Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings.
  • Proficient in using plumbing tools (e.g., pipe cutters, wrenches, augers).
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
