PMC Senior Civil Structural Engineer

Job Description

Wood is currently recruiting for a PMC Senior Civil and Structural Engineer based in Abu Dhabi to support ADNOC Offshore project.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance the discipline through implementation of best practice in people management, systems, and business processes
• Ensure technical accuracy and integrity of the design engineering carried out by the discipline
• Provide staff resources with appropriate skills for the project and business requirements
• Manage the PMC Civil team objectives and budget
• Participate during constructability reviews
• Act as a discipline focal point for all technical matters and act as an overall technical focal point on assigned projects
• Review designs for facilities and their associated infrastructure
• Cooperate with other disciplines to ensure the timely realization of competitive, achievable and serviceable solutions, including their Production Information Documentation
• Apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to make adaptations and modifications to solve technical problems that arise
• Contribute to and participate in formal and informal design reviews and the development of engineering changes
• Execute the design process to realize the project, product and program plans
• Create designs that meet the specifications within the constraints given in the project plan
• Generate adequate Product Documentation to qualify, integrate, produce, and test product
• Collect and analyze information to report timely required information to different users and management
• Provide regular status reporting to applicable management and departments to enable them to take required action
  
  

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 15 years’ experience in major oil / gas projects in similar position or lead / principal civil engineer with engineering contractor / PMC organization
• Recent experience in a similar role for a large-scale oil and gas project
• Adequate knowledge of all international codes, standards and other construction practices to be utilized during EPC phases of project execution
• Additional experience with Middle East projects is preferable
