About The Job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the Greek Restaurant in Dubai, the Pool Butler is responsible to serve the needs of the business, our guests and our colleagues by maintaining the effectiveness of the day-to-day pool operations, enhancing guest experience by being a key point of contact for guest interaction in the hotel. Pool Butler reports to the F&B Supervisor.

As a Pool Butler, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Oversee daily pool operations to ensure exceptional cleanliness, ambience, safety, and service in line with company standards.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of resort services and products, promoting offerings to enhance guest satisfaction and drive revenue.
• Ensure proper inventory management, including maintaining par stock levels and requisitioning supplies as needed.
• Actively participate in meetings, training sessions, and daily briefings to support team alignment and continuous improvement.
• Handle guest bookings, requests, and feedback professionally, ensuring prompt resolution and accurate record-keeping.
• Adhere to safety protocols and proper procedures, including guest liability waivers and accurate billing practices.
  
  

As a Pool Butler, We Expect From You

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Recreation, Leisure, or Fitness & Wellness; 5-star hotel experience preferred.
• Valid certifications in Lifeguarding, First Aid, and Pool Response are advantageous.
• Proficient verbal and written communication in English; additional languages such as Arabic are preferred.
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to meet guest needs effectively in outdoor settings.
• Knowledge of pool safety, food and beverage hygiene, and basic money handling/POS system use.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking abilities, with physical stamina and flexibility to work varied shifts.
