Job Description
The Practice Lead drives Nokia's solutions for the assigned non-CSP enterprise verticals and supports presales teams with competitive intelligence and winning strategies. The role will adopt a consultative selling approach to maximize Nokia's portfolio adoption. Develops and drives growth strategy for the assigned vertical. Uses vertical expertise and business understanding for articulating Nokia's solutions with an inclusive customer engagement plan and effective interaction with customer decision-makers to justify their strategy and investments. The Practice Leads works closely with the account teams and to identify, develop and support new customer acquisition.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, customer needs, and potential areas of growth in the utilities sector (electricity, gas, water, etc.).
Identify gaps and opportunities in existing utility tech stacks to introduce differentiated solutions.
Build and maintain relationships with key utility stakeholders, including executives, engineers, and procurement teams, to ensure long-term partnerships.
Lead client discussions on solution architecture, value demonstration, and technical ROI, showcasing how solutions solve pain points and improve operational resilience.
Organize product demonstrations and lead technical discussions to showcase solutions’ relevance to utility and oil & gas challenges, such as remote monitoring or safety enhancements.
Supports in identification and engagement with relevant GTM partners in the utility segmentDevelops, maintains and drives growth strategies and plans for assigned verticals, using market know-how & dynamics, competitive assessment, and Nokia portfolio understanding.
Create and develop new opportunities in assigned verticals together with the Account Manager or Technical sales team.
Acts as a senior subject matter expert, typically at the regional level, in many organizational units the most senior internal expert who serves as best practice/quality resource and is an acknowledged authority both within and outside own organizational unit.
Uses value-based argumentation and business cases addressing customer business challenges and develops innovative solutions that help to sustain competitive advantage.
Shapes and support offerings for multi-products, services, or end-to-end solutions.
Direct interface and engagement with customers, partners, and account and pre-sales teams.
Leads cross-functional teams to drive successful customer engagements and solution adaptation.
Uses knowledge on how the job contributes to the corporate goals as well as knowledge of industry and competitive landscape to increase own effectiveness by best practice sharing.
Influences strategic decisions in the technical area that affect the performance of the sub function.
Contributes to developing concepts to set the professional direction of own organizational unit.
Solves highly complex or novel problems based on sophisticated analytical thought and complex judgment.

Key Skills And Experience
- Extensive knowledge of the utilities industry in the Middle East and Africa region; able to understand the technology transformation and use cases required to innovate and disrupt.
- At least 10 years of experience in a consultative, solution-oriented, selling or business development role within the utilities or adjacent industries.
- Ideally, a background in technology, management consultancy, or direct industry expertise within the utilities domain.
- Familiarity and understanding around private networks and infrastructure services is required.
- Ability to hunt, steer and close on relationships at a C-level across assigned customer, partners and territories.
