Our Strategic Consulting business are looking for Principal Infrastructure Transformation Consultants to develop and write business advice from strategy to execution to help solve our clients’ most complex business challenges.
Jacobs’ Strategic Consulting team provides strategic advisory in all phases of the business life cycle, informed by our operational knowledge and deep functional expertise. By integrating strategic and technical expertise, we support the full spectrum of client functions from executive leadership project delivery and operations.
The selected candidate must have excellent team-player attitude, with ability to consistently demonstrate the highest levels of professionalism, integrity, mutual respect and accountability to others. We are looking for a principal consultant with 8+ years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in management consulting, to play a key role in our Infrastructure Transformation team. This role is suited to someone who can independently own and deliver significant portions of projects, manage workstreams, and contribute to shaping client outcomes. Backgrounds may vary (engineering, infrastructure, strategy, operations, innovation), but strong consulting capability is essential.

Here's what you'll need
- Lead delivery of defined project workstreams within larger assignments.
- Manage client interactions, ensuring outputs are clear, timely, and of high quality.
- Structure and oversee analysis, research, and development of recommendations.
- Mentor and support junior consultants, contributing to team capability building.
- Contribute to development of methodologies, proposals, and business growth.
- Translate technical engineering concepts into strategic business opportunities
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring innovative concepts to life
- Present complex strategies to executive-level audience
- 8+ years of experience with minimum 3 years in management consulting (essential)
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, business, or related field preferred
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful strategies
- Ability to translate between technical and business domains and across industries
- Experience in infrastructure, capital projects, strategic transformation, or innovation (desirable).
- Strategic thinking with a practical implementation mindset
- Proven ability to structure, own, and deliver work independently.
- Strong leadership, communication, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills across diverse stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills to assess market opportunities
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to navigate complex challenges
- Commercial acumen to identify business value
