Role Specific Skillls:

• Strong infrastructure engineering background with previous experience in infrastructure projects
• Prepare Concept Masterplan stage to Detailed Masterplan in relation to dry utilities, requirements related to cross sections, and coordination with other disciplines such as wet, roads, landscape, etc. along with preparation of reports and sketches as required.
• Prepare Concept Infrastructure Design to IFC stage of documents for dry utilities.
• Participates in the interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
• Prepare electrical load calculations, estimating demand load at various levels and determining the substations required.
• Prepare primary substation locations, EHV/HV/MV corridor allocations, etc as per standards.
• Prepare the LV design including distribution substation locations, feeder pillar locations etc. voltage drop calculations, single line diagrams, etc.
• Prepare the telecommunication infrastructure Network Design including ducts and manholes.
• Design of Street Lighting for all types of roads, junctions, and tunnels. Prepare Lighting Calculations using Dialux/ Dialux Evo, SLDs, Load schedules, landscape lighting wiring, etc.
• Prepares diversion/ relocation of dry utility networks.
• Prepares technical specification sections and standard details.
• Attend Client design meetings, kick-off meetings, progress meetings, workshops, etc. as required.
• Ability to coordinate with the project team, stakeholders, Client and understanding of local authority standards, particularly in UAE and KSA.
• Coordination with local authorities in Dubai such as DEWA, RTA, Etisalat, Du etc. and awareness of the submission procedures, load nocs, getting electricity applications etc.
• Prepare/Review Clarifications to Contractor RFIs, Review/approve any key technical submittals related to electrical works and dry utilities (if required).
• Ability to manage multiple teams with diverse backgrounds and coordinate with global design centers.
• Assist the lead in preparing project bids in terms of pricing, methodology, etc.
• Ensure all the works are in adherence to the quality standards set by the organization.
• Design of electrical systems and dry utilities using Auto CAD 2D, Civil3D, MicroStation etc.
• Experience in Electrical design softwares such as ETAP and Amtech is an add-on but not essential.
  
  
  

Qualifications and Experience: 

• BEng / BSc (Hon) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline with minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience
• MEng / MSc (Hon) is preferred although not essential.
• Member of an associated Professional body
• Experience and proven ability to manage projects and coordinate with multiple disciplines.
• Experience of MS Office Suite of Programmes, SharePoint, ProjectWise etc.
• Comprehensive experience of technical design and associated discipline software
