THE POSITION

We are looking for a Process Automation and Systems Integration Specialist to join Boehringer Ingelheim's Legal & Compliance team, based in Dubai, UAE.

The position holder is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated processes and integrate systems to streamline operations and improve overall efficiency within the Legal and Compliance function and other functions. Key aspects of this role include having a deep understanding of automation technologies, system integration methodologies, and a strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams particularly within the legal and compliance department. This role reports to the Legal & Compliance Operations Manager.

This is a contracted position for 1 year.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

Design and Development

  • Develop and implement automated workflows and processes specifically for legal and compliance functions using tools such as RPA (Robotic Process Automation), BPM (Business Process Management), and other automation platforms.


System Integration

  • Integrate various software systems and applications to ensure seamless data flow within legal and compliance frameworks.


Process Improvement

  • Analyze existing processes to identify opportunities for automation and optimization, reducing manual effort and increasing accuracy.


Testing and Validation

  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of automated processes to ensure reliability and performance particularly in legal and compliance contexts.


Documentation

  • Create and maintain detailed documentation and working instruction of automation processes, integration workflows, and system configurations.


Monitoring and Maintenance

  • Monitor the performance of automated systems and integrations related to legal and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise with a focus on legal and compliance processes.


Training and Support

  • Provide training and support on automated systems, tools and processes to end-users, the legal and compliance department and other functions as required.


Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in process automation, systems integration, or a related role
  • Business fluent in English in its written and oral form


Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Capable of organizing, planning, and prioritizing workload
  • Proficiency in automation tools and systems (e.g. RPA, BPM, UiPath, ServiceNow, Power Automate) and Overview of AI and supported technologies
  • Experience and proficiency with programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript)
