Purpose and Objectives for the Role

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for establishing and executing robust procurement processes that support operational needs while maintaining compliance with financial, legal, and ethical standards. This role will manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, optimise vendor relationships, and drive strategic sourcing to deliver value and efficiency across the business.

Overall Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring alignment with internal controls, ethical standards, and regulatory changes.
  • Ensure full compliance with procurement policies and maintain proper governance across all sourcing and supplier activities.
  • Utilise procurement platforms such as Coupa to manage purchasing activities and support procurement digitisation.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new suppliers, including due diligence and documentation, in collaboration with legal, finance, and operations.
  • Negotiate and manage supplier contracts to achieve competitive pricing, service quality, and risk mitigation.
  • Coordinate cross-functional approval workflows and contract governance in line with internal procedures.
  • Maintain accurate procurement and payment schedules, ensuring timely invoice reconciliation and vendor payments.
  • Track and report procurement metrics including supplier performance, cost savings, risk exposure, and contract compliance.
  • Monitor procurement budgets and assist with financial planning, forecasting, and spend analysis.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends, supplier innovations, and regulatory updates that could impact sourcing strategy or operational risk.

Skills Required

  • Proven track record in managing procurement in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of procurement compliance, risk management, and ethical sourcing practices.
  • Experience implementing or managing procurement systems such as Coupa, SAP Ariba, or similar.
  • Excellent contract negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience tracking procurement KPIs and cost optimisation.
  • Collaborative and solutions-focused, with the ability to work across legal, finance, and operational teams.
  • Highly organised with a process-oriented mindset and attention to detail.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • Procurement certifications such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) are desirable.
  • Experience in a procurement or strategic sourcing role.
