Job Description

We are recruiting a Procurement Officer to join our exceptional team in Abu Dhabi and be responsible for negotiating with various suppliers to obtain maximum discount without compromising the quality of all products and services. The role involves undertaking purchase activities, tendering and contract evaluation, placing orders and monitoring delivery to provide the right products and services across all BUs and Shared Services in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities

  • Technical Procurement:
    • Source and procure civil construction materials (e.g., concrete, steel, aggregates, waterproofing systems).
    • Evaluate technical specifications, drawings, and BOQs to ensure accurate material sourcing.
    • Liaise with engineering and site teams to understand material requirements and delivery schedules.
  • Supplier Management:
    • Identify, qualify, and develop a reliable supplier and subcontractor base for civil works.
    • Obtain competitive quotations, conduct technical and commercial evaluations, and finalize orders/contracts.
    • Monitor supplier performance, quality compliance, and timely delivery.
  • Tendering & Contracts:
    • Assist in the preparation of tender documents for civil packages.
    • Negotiate with vendors for pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
    • Issue purchase orders, work orders, and service agreements as per approval workflows.
  • Cost Control & Reporting:
    • Track procurement costs against project budgets.
    • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier agreements.
    • Provide regular procurement status reports to the project and finance teams.
  • Compliance & Documentation:
    • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, DOA, and project requirements.
    • Maintain proper documentation for audits, claims, and project close-out.
  • Support Site Operations:
    • Coordinate with logistics and site teams for timely material delivery.
    • Resolve site queries related to material specifications, deliveries, or replacements.
Job requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • 3–5 years of procurement experience in construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with local and international vendors for civil works and materials.
  • Understanding of project specifications, construction standards, and site operations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP), and procurement software.
