This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Procurement Specialist with a proven track record in managing the sourcing, negotiation, and acquisition of goods and services to ensure project and organizational requirements are met efficiently and cost-effectively for a high-profile client.

The Key Objectives For This Role Are

  • Identifying reliable suppliers, evaluating their performance, and establishing strong partnerships.
  • Negotiating contracts to achieve the best value for goods and services.
  • Developing and implementing strategies for timely and efficient acquisition of resources.
  • Ensuring adherence to legal, ethical, and organizational procurement policies and regulations.
  • Mitigating risks by securing quality goods and services within budget and timelines.
  • Maintaining accurate procurement records and providing reports for analysis and decision-making.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Experience in handling material and service procurement for large scale onshore facilities construction projects
  • Able to independently manage the full sourcing process from strategy development and implementation up to award of orders/ contracts for goods and/or services, in line with Company procedures and standards
  • Able to liaise with the technical team to review, manage, and execute variations and claims as part of post award contract administration
  • Participate in regular meetings with vendors and users to keep a track of all the ongoing requirements

Expected

  • Bachelor of Engineering in related discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in tendering, order/ contract placement and order/ contracts administration in the oil and gas industry
  • Demonstrates a high standard of ethical behavior
  • Firm negotiator with good knowledge of industry practices
  • Good understanding of commercial and contractual terms
  • Sound commercial and technical knowledge
  • High attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Self-directed, highly motivated and customer service oriented
  • Capable of respecting the rules and governance
  • Demonstrate a high level of commercial and technical knowledge
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills with excellent oral and written English communication skills
  • Computer literate, working knowledge of Microsoft office packages essential, working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) commercial modules desirable
