Product Controller

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Controller to join our dynamic team. The Product Controller will report to the Chief Risk Officer and play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the financial performance, risk assessment, and reporting of our diverse product offerings with a focus on Treasury and Digital Asset Markets trading activities. This role involves producing P&L for the trading desk, substantiating the P&L and Balance Sheet numbers, liaising with the financial reporting team and other internal stakeholders, and ensuring that a 'control' environment is maintained at all times.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Financial Oversight: Monitor the financial performance of various crypto investment products and strategies, analyzing profit and loss (P&L) statements, and identifying key drivers impacting returns.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks and reporting requirements, staying updated with industry standards and best practices.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including reconciliations, valuation reports, and performance metrics for internal and external stakeholders.
• Process Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance processes related to product control, optimizing efficiency and accuracy in reporting and analysis.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including traders, finance, risk and compliance officers to ensure alignment on product performance, risk management, and reporting.
  
  

Required Competencies and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; advanced degree or professional certification is a plus.
• Proven experience in product control within the Financial Markets businesses. Crypto or fintech knowledge/experience would be an advantage.
• Strong understanding of crypto assets, blockchain technology, DeFi and financial markets.
• Proficiency in financial modelling, data analysis tools, and accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in reporting.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
