Production Chemist/Shift chemist- Dry Mortar

Our client is a reputed manufacturing operations facility in Sharjah. They are looking to hire a Production Chemist (Shift chemist) for their factory/ manufacturing plant based in Sharjah. An applicant who will be responsible for carrying out all the quality checks and material specification for their Dry Mortar application manufacturing plant in Sharjah.

Your responsibilities for this role will include:

Responsible for the quality on daily production of concrete blocks, paving blocks, kerb stones, paving tiles and Dry Mix mortar (Plasters, Mortars, Tile Adhesives etc.)

Preparing the quality check list for daily production basis.

Conducting product tests such as Compression test, Flexural test, Abrasion test, Pull off Test, Air Entertainment test etc.

Conducting raw material tests such as sieve analysis, Elongation & Flakiness Index etc.

Conducting External Test for the Products to get project approvals.

Will need to attend auditing of Dubai Municipality for the DCL product registration/approval.

Preparing Compliance statement and Material checklist for the Contractors.

Preparing test certificates for the products depending on the client requirement

Provide mix design for the production team and ensure that product finishing and moisture content will be satisfied or not.

Arranging samples for the customers depends upon the sales person request.

Facilitated smooth execution of projects by attending regular progress meetings with clients and visiting construction sites.

Advising Sales team to Quote the material for a project as per given specification

Developing and designing of New materials as per client requirement.

Maintaining Health and Safety records & Conducting inspections for House Keeping as per HSE Policy.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you need to qualify the below criteria:

A bachelor's degree in chemistry or relevant field.

Min 4 to 8 years of experience working as a Shift chemist for a Dry Mix mortar plant.

Should have experience in conducting quality checks/ audits and supporting the process of product approval from a regulatory body.

Should be willing to work in Sharjah and stay in company provided accommodation.

Should be willing to handle responsibility working for a rotational shift.

Candidate within UAE having similar experience from home country willing to apply can be considered.
